ESDES Business School
Esdes Business School is organizing the 5th edition of the 2040 Fair – Digital and Ethical Transformation of Organizations, an educational event designed to explore the major digital and ethical challenges organizations will face by 2040.
In a context marked by the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and major economic challenges — including the growing costs of digital technologies and issues related to their long-term financing — the 2040 Fair offers a forward-looking and critical approach to digital transformation.
A project led by Bachelor 3 work-study students
This new edition of the 2040 Fair was entirely designed and delivered by third-year Bachelor students in work-study programs at ESDES. Structured as a professional trade fair, the event allows students to present their projects, technological demonstrations, and visions of the future, drawing on both their academic training and professional experience gained through their work-study placements.
The stands offer visitors an immersive experience into concrete scenarios of digital transformation, while also addressing the ethical, organizational, and societal dimensions of emerging technologies.
An immersive and professional learning experience
The 2040 Fair is built on active learning principles. Visitors are invited to take on the role of prospective clients, discover several stands, and engage directly with the students. For faculty members, the event complements the research workshop and serves as a hands-on pedagogical exercise, encouraging critical thinking, analysis, and strategic foresight.
An educational innovation at the heart of Esdes mission
By promoting autonomy, creativity, and forward-thinking skills, the 2040 Fair perfectly illustrates ESDES’ commitment to innovative teaching methods closely aligned with current and future organizational challenges. The success of this event also relies on the involvement of the academic community, whose support is essential in showcasing and enhancing students’ work.
