BIOGRAPHIE
José Alcaraz a rédigé sa thèse sur le thème de la "Numérisation de la gestion du capital humain". Il a repensé et dirigé plusieurs programmes internationaux de MBA ainsi qu'une chaire de développement durable (VICINI) financée par l'industrie. Durant les 15 quinze dernières années, son parcours universitaire l’a conduit de sa ville natale de Barcelone (où il a collaboré avec IESE Business School / IRCO), à Shanghai (Raffles Design Institute), Dubaï (Université de Dubaï et Université de Leicester), Saint-Domingue (République dominicaine), Perth (Université Murdoch en Australie) et enfin Munich avant de rejoindre ESDES Lyon business School comme Enseignant-Chercheur en 2021 tout en conservant une bourse de recherche avec Munich Business School.
José Alcaraz s'intéresse particulièrement aux problématiques suivantes : Comment les entreprises peuvent-elles aborder simultanément les objectifs de développement durable et les grands défis environnementaux de notre temps ? Comment le cosmopolitisme peut-il favoriser un leadership responsable ? Comment la science-fiction (SciFi) peut-elle fournir des scénarii évocateurs et plausibles qui aident à comprendre les interactions complexes des entreprises, de la technologie et des facteurs socio-environnementaux ? Comment les éducateurs peuvent-ils favoriser l’apprentissage de fond afin de transformer les connaissances, les compétences et les émotions ? Ses recherches ont été publiées dans des revues académiques comme Organization, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Information & Organization, Business & Society et Work, Employment and Society.
Avant de rejoindre le monde universitaire, José Alcaraz a occupé différents postes de direction dans l'industrie du logiciel et a travaillé notamment en étroite collaboration avec le Groupe RBL (co-fondé par Dave Ulrich, cette société est régulièrement classée parmi les plus influentes du monde dans les domaines du leadership et du management stratégique) sur leurs opérations espagnoles et latino-américaines.
José est fasciné par les nouvelles possibilités d'enseignement et de collaboration à distance, ainsi que de réflexion conceptuelle et il est très reconnaissant aux plateformes du type de Mural Visual Collaboration.
