      BIOGRAPHY<\/h2>

      Landry SIMO is a Faculty member in ESDES Business School Finance department. He belongs to various international academic organizations such as: Social Psychology Network (University of Wesleyan - USA), Behavioral Finance Working Group (Queen Mary University of London \u2013 UK), Association Francophone de la Comptabilit\u00e9, AFC (France), Association Fran\u00e7aise d\u2019Economie Exp\u00e9rimentale (ASFEE). He is also an associate researcher in the CREM UMR CNRS 6211 laboratory from Rennes 1 University, in the Center for Law and Behavior - Amsterdam Law School (Amsterdam University) and in the Chair of Behavioral Finance, WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany).<\/p>

      Landry SIMO can teach in the three main langages of science (English, Spanish and French). In his teaching, he resorts to innovative pedagogical approaches such as for example productive failure, the flipped classroom and experimental didactics.<\/p>

      His main research interest lies in behavioral finance. Actually, Landry SIMO aims at bringing psychology and finance together in order to stimulate research that can highlight public policy. Indeed, after proving that a rational homo economicus is rather unlikely and that an homo sapiens prone to psychological heuristics prevails , he examines to which extent the concomitant mobilization of factors that are both rational and irrational makes it possible to better understand the decision-making process and to develop decision support tools. He wrote his PdD thesis on psychological biases in the reluctance to IPO and positions himself as a pioneer in silent herding.<\/p>

      Another part of his research work focuses on IFRS financial standards and economic attractiveness in order to better understand how the use of international benchmark favours direct foreign investments. Business ethics and the relation between commercial law, intellectual property, patents and innovation are also part of his research interests. <\/p>

      Landry SIMO is open to scientific collaborations and would also be happy to supervise junior researchers on a topic related to one of his research interests described above. <\/p>

      Before joining the academic world, Landry was CFO & COO within ZION Contractor SA.<\/p>
