So is life at ESDES when work is over...

Seven students participated in the Jeunes Ambassadeurs program in 2006-2007.

This picture is from the gala at the end of the year after the awards ceremony.

ESDES students organize a ski trip ever year in January to the French alps.

Since I am from Mexico and had never seen snow before, I didn't know if I wanted to spend a whole week skiing but other students lent us their ski clothes and by the end of the second day we were all skiing... Not only was the skiing fun, but all the activities that were organized at night really gave us a chance to spend time with a lot of different people - Juan.

Here we are getting ready to eat before the international dinner in the first semester.

All the students love this... Not everyone likes to cook, but everyone loves to eat. This was the best meal some of us ever had! The Austrian students made homemade apple strudel.  They told us that the dough has to be so thin that you can read a newspaper through it.

Every year Lyon attracts over 4 million visitors for the Lights festival "Fêtes des Lumières" in December. It is really spectacular and a terrific opportunity to take night pictures for amateur photographers.

Wine Tasting & Walking in the Beaujolais.

The village looked like a picture book of France and we took our time walking around the village. When we arrived at the winery an artist was painting the wisteria. Then, the owner explained about how the wines were produced and we sampled the reds, whites & rosés before making some purchases to take home with us.

This picture is from the scavenger hunt at the beginning of the year. We had lots of fun setting out to discover Lyon and our new classmates.

Pictured here are students from Holland, Argentina, Latvia, Canada, Spain and Russia.

It was great to visit Paris with people from the school who knew their way around.  We saved a lot of time & money that way.

A circle of friends that we've bonded with and will keep in touch with all our lives...

Now when we travel around the world, we can say "yeah, I have a friend in Finland" or "I'm headed to Russia to see a guy I know".

Hope to see you at ESDES soon!
